this is gonna be a long day, I woke up at 3am and can't fall asleep.  I'll probably finally nod off at 6 and then have to get up at 7:30.  I've been sleeping really badly this week, I even overslept till 10 yesterday.  I thanked my mom for waking me up, she assumed i didn't have to go in before lunch.  I had to go to the office at school to let them know I was late, which I think is a dumb policy.  Instead of going straight to class you have to go to the office with a note from a parent and fill in a form.  If by grade 12 you want to arrive late to school then big whoop.

earlier this week I was thinking about skipping school Friday and driving to Ottawa for the weekend to see Stacey.  In the end I decided not to cos Stace will be home next Thursday (for her graduation ceremony), plus there have been wicked fog warnings all week.  I definitely want to drive up to Ottawa again for a weekend before Christmas. Stace has been stressing about exams for the last two weeks, she used to get worked up about school work but it seems even more intense now (shes doing Psychology at Uni of Ottawa, which is a pretty full on degree).  So I think I'll wait till the end of the month when she is pass the first cycle of exams.

This weekend should be pretty quiet, I have to work all day on Saturday.  On Sunday I'm going to check out the 07 Customs at boardsports, I'm definitely getting a new board this season, and I'm catching up with Liam probably on Sunday to get his old Vans boots.  I don't think the resorts will open before Christmas, but I'm starting to get pumped for the snowboarding season.

its snowing pretty hard right now, I think it will be a snow day tomorrow.  I'd put my chances at 66%.   Usually when we get a lot of snow overnight "they" don't cancel school, but if  its still kinda shitty the next day they will, to make up for not cancelling the day before.  so we'll see.

I went snowboarding at blue mountain last night, and at moonstone today.  conditions were great last night, I had no complaints.  I must have been feeling a bit ballsy cos I went down a couple of the black runs I'd never really been down before.  and then I tried to hit this little 4 foot kicker (k, so it was more of a mogul than a jump). first time I I didn't do any fancy & pulled it off no dramas.  when I went back a second time I thought I'd attempt a 180 but i was way to slow when I approached it.  I even tried to swerve away at the last second but then i thought 'screw it'.  it wasn't a total wipeout but I did land kindof awkward on my knee.  today was fun too, just Filipe & his brother went.   my tailbone is killing me tonight, i cant sit, i cant stand.

Firefox has been driving me crazy lately.   pretty much since I went to 2.0 it freezes up & I need to open a new session (but the 2.0.2 update has fixed that I must admit).   its been running really slow today, when I try to open a new page on myspace or xbox.com it loads for ages, until I stop & refresh, than the new page loads immediately.   I think I will completely delete & re-download firefox.

I'm pretty proud of my top 10 from last.fm last week.  I think I had more plays for Tokyo Police Club than any other band in a week.     and the Arcade Fire, my number 2, another great Canadian band. 

theres a really strange fashion trend going around right now for kids to wear snowboarding goggles as a fashion accessory.  It's mainly kids my brothers age, I've seen some 8th graders wearing them too, they wear them to school, to the mall, and just for walking around.  personally I think it's a stupid look, it's probably non-snowboarders trying to look cool.

I noticed my good ionized Dragon DX goggles were left out on my dresser tonight ... I asked my little brother if he had them out.  he flat out told me he'd worn them to school today.  I flipped out and told me to never touch them again, he tried to smooth things over by telling me he's worn them to school 3 other times!!  ah well, I gave him my old Salomon goggles, hopefully he'll leave my DXs alone.

My little brothers elementary school was closed today, not because of snow but because of an outreak of gastro! Nole hasn't been sick luckily, I really hope I don't get it. Usually just hearing the word 'gastro' I start feeling sick. Apparently 34 kids at the school have experienced symptoms. Nole had 2 of his mates over when I got home from school today, they were playing my xbox with their grubby little 8 year old hands.

I'm going to Toronto tomorrow for Aussie Week, I got free tickets to see silverchair and the Living End. I've seen silverchair 4 times, but never actually seen the Living End. The new silverchair CD is gonna be sick, the first single sounds more like the Disassociates than silverchair, which is fine with me, but I hope they have a couple of proper rock songs!).

Well it looks like I'm having a quiet night in tonight, I do have a ton of homework & tonight is the only opportunity I'll get to do it (working tomorrow + going to the concert, snowboarding on Sunday). I'm supposed to record Leftovers Music at around 1AM tonight with Josh, I might do 10 minute blitz too if Jordan hasn’t beaten me to the punch (I know he'll be busting to talk about how the House told Bush he can't send more troops to Iraq).
